Manager, Investor Relations
Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and logistical execution of investment and biopharmaceutical industry conferences and events, virtual/in person meetings and roadshows, including the preparation of briefing materials and managing logistical details such as event registrations, travel arrangements, presentation scheduling, and 1-1 meetings schedule management.
- Manage the planning and logistical execution of Cara organized virtual/in-person meetings and events including earnings calls, data release calls or other company sponsored events such as R&D days (includes KOL management and contracting, presentation materials preparation)
- Assist with the creation and management of investor materials including review and approval of corporate presentations, press releases, conference call scripts and Q&A documents
- Help develop, implement, and manage an overarching strategic investor relations plan and calendar of events including ensuring timely input, participation, and by-in from members of the senior leadership team
- Track, review and synthesize key take aways from investment research reports on the overall financial markets, macro-economics and Cara specific content
- Monitor and provide insights from peer activity including news releases, earnings calls, and key sell-side research reports
- Manage the investor relations website including regularly scheduled and ad-hoc updates to ensure that all disclosures, presentations, and company information are accurate and current
- Administer CRM database to ensure meeting notes are complete for meetings with analyst, investors and other stakeholders
- Assist with related special projects that will help Cara achieve its mission and vision
Qualifications include but not limited to:
- 2 to 3 years as an investor relations analyst or in a similar position in the biopharmaceutical industry
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
- The ability to multitask effectively by working on several projects simultaneously
- A high attention to both detail and accuracy in the work products
- The ability to participate in a fast-paced work environment, as well as a willingness to contribute in areas that fall outside of their core responsibilities
